This season on ABC some of our favorites are coming back. The Desperate Housewives are fulfilling our suburbia need to dig into other people’s “dirty laundry” by having us feel like we are a neighbor on Wisteria Lane. Grey’s Anatomy had us on a cliffhanger of Dr. Shepard’s wife coming in when he and Meredith Grey were just starting to get hot and heavy. And don’t forget the great reality shows like Wife Swap and Super Nanny.

But, you may want to add to your list a couple of other shows that will be showing up. Commander and Chief which is on Tuesdays at 9pm and shows a lot of promise. It stars Genna Davis as Mackenzie Allen who becomes the first women President of the United States when the President dies of a head tumor. No one on the Presidential staff thinks she can pull this off and the program is going to reflect her proving herself and the adjustment her and her family make while being in the Oval Office.

As far as comedies go, you might want to check out Freddie staring Freddie Price Jr. who plays a single man about town chef whose bachelorhood suddenly takes a turn for the family life when his sister moves in with her daughter after her failed marriage. Also, his pregnant sister-in-law moves in when her husband dies and Freddie’s neurotic grandmother also joins the clan speaking only Spanish although she can completely understand English. Now how is he supposed to maintain his manly bachelor pad with a house full of women? Tune in to find out.

CBS is known for their dramas especially the critically acclaimed CSI series (Las Vegas, New York and Miami). With all of this drama you would think they didn’t have room for one more. Well, they do…Ghost Whisper starring Jennifer Love Hewitt as Melinda Gordon who has the supernatural gift of seeing and talking to the dead. They come to her to help them pass on from this world into the afterlife by closing some type of unfinished business that keeps them on Earth. Melinda feels that this gift is a blessing and a curse, so the show will probably show how she is struggling to deal with her life also. It is on Friday’s at 8pm.

One show that should definitely be checked out on Monday’s at 8:30pm is the new comedy How I Met Your Mother. It stars Josh Radnor as Ted who tells the story to his children on how him and his wife met and fell in love. This comedy stars Neil Patrick Harris (Doogie Houser M.D.) and Alyson Hannigan (American Pie) so it is sure to bring on many laughs. It poses a interesting concept of telling your children about your life when they weren’t even a passing thought and all you cared about was if that girl will call you and will you ever make the transition from post-college freedom to adult-like status?
