It’s cool to have kids these days and celebrities are just like common folk when it comes to talking about their rugrats. Really, who wouldn’t want to know what kind of shoes Maddox Jolie is sporting these days? Who wouldn’t want to know how long Julia Roberts’ little darling nursed and how many times he bit his mommy (ouch!)? Look out, future girlfriends. This one could have some issues.

Who doesn’t write it? Well, sometimes the celebs themselves don’t actually put pen to paper (or fingers to keyboard) but somebody out there sure does. Whether it’s a publicist or a fan, it’s a good way to get publicity and to share the wealth (of motherhood knowledge). In this world of not knowing one’s neighbors and barely having time to breathe, it’s nice to know that somewhere out there is someone who cares about these little tidbits of family life.

If you have a question about what’s going on with your favorite celebrity, the answer is written down somewhere. And if it’s not, maybe you better be out there writing a celebrity baby blog. From the most arcane bit of info (who takes her baby to yoga?) to the most redundant (“He said, ‘Mama.’” “Oh, did I tell you he said, ‘Mama?’”), celebrities are just like regular people. They love their offspring and are proud of every poopy diaper they make.

Blogging isn’t only for the womenfolk. Proud papas are doing it too. Their little champs are the apples of their daddies’ eyes. Their little princesses can outdrool anybody, and in style. Find out what these fathers know best about their tykes and about the wonderful world of dizziness (from lack of sleep). Moms and dads alike are sucked into the charms and wiles of a cute little baby--especially if the baby belongs to them.
