Once upon a time, there was a poor little rich girl. Okay, try another one. Once upon a time, there was a family of rockers who let the world into their home to watch their loveable dysfunctionalities. Or this one: Once upon a time….fact can be much stranger than fiction when it comes to the land of the famous. Whether born with a silver spoon in one’s mouth, or a silver foot, as happens so often, each celebrity has his or her own story to tell. Many times they want to tell it. Many times they embellish. But more often than not, it’s a story not so unlike yours (well, maybe). Everybody has one. Theirs just happens to be one that’s told more often and to a larger audience.

The public at large often forgets that there are more important things happening than who’s on the cover of People that week. Maybe it’s a way the public has of hiding their collective heads in the sand, but a top show business name getting a ticket for running naked through Central Park is not the end of the world. Celebrities, like regular folks, have epiphanies when they realize that there is more to life than them.

Once upon a time, there was an actress named Kirstie Alley. First she was thin, then she was not. Now she’s on her way down in weight and up in popularity. No longer is she wrapped up in her celebrity story, she’s a regular gal trying to lose weight. Every once in a while, celebrity crosses over into the real world. As long as there is food for gossip, someone will gobble it up. There are ten million stories in the city of celebrities. Good or bad, someone out there is interested in each and every one.
