Sloshing to class in a pair of comfortable sweatpants and messed-up hair is one of the many reasons that people loved college so much. They remember not having to wear stiff jackets and ties, dresses and heels—the days when they could wear what they wanted to wear and not be restricted. College fashion design is all about keeping the focus on studying and off of pondering what to wear in the morning. College fashion is designed to be comfortable for the average student and still fashionable to wear out of the house. This concept has been applied to many fashion marketed to the college student.

Though pajama bottoms and a plain white t-shirt often comprise a typical college fashion day, college fashion had evolved over the last decade to combine the same elements of comfort with items of clothing that can still be fashionable. The evolution of cargo khakis, baggy jeans, loose-fitting t-shirts, and hooded sweatshirts all combine comfort with classic college looks that equal success. College fashion designs like these prove to be successful as students hope to get the best of both worlds.

As college students near the end of their time in higher education, many of them are forced to begin changing their college fashion designs to better accommodate their roles in the future. For this reason, many of the classes towards the end of college focus around professionalism and looking your best. For instance, presentations become a larger part of the collegiate process and the fashion designs must evolve as well. Out are sweats and white t-shirts, and in are button-down shirts, slacks, and appropriate skirts for females. The college fashion designs progress and change as people grow older in years at an institution. These designs are prepared to change the way students look at clothing. Just don’t expect college students to give up the comfy sweats and messy hair at least once in awhile.
