Stewie has his own movie! Sort of…The Family Guy Movie: Stewie Griffith: The
Untold Story is just what you would expect from the Family Guy crew, with lots
of the usual rudeness and crudeness. Definitely not for kids, but definitely
worth it if you like the series and its unique sense of bathroom humor.

|
Essentially three episodes strung together, the episodes have Stewie as the
central character. Stewie starts on his usual path towards world domination,
but gets distracted when he sees someone on the television that resembles him.
Confirming his belief that he is not the son of Peter (there is no way that he
could be the son of such an idiot!), Stewie then starts off on a road trip to
find the man, and finds a more than he ever wanted to.

The movie is actually three episodes of the series ("Stewie B. Goode", "Bango
was his Name-O", and "Stu and Stewie's Excellent Adventure") cut together, with
some new material to bridge the episodes. There are definitely all the usual
jokes that you’ve learned to expect (and sometimes dread), such as the Evil
Monkey, Greased Up Deaf Guy, and all the of flashbacks and randomness you’ve
come to expect from The Family Guy. The first half is the usual shtick, but the
second half concentrates on Stewie’s exploration.

The movie is released with a “Not Rated” rating, and probably wouldn’t have been
released any other way. There is a lot of swearing (with some of it bleeped
out, which somehow works to making it worse rather than better), and the usual
sex and scatological humor. The movie would have been released with a definite
“R” rating, but it definitely worth watching (if you like that kind of humor).

You’ve watched the family on TV for years now and loved every minute of baby
Stewie going through his wild adventures. Creator Seth McFarlane has got
something much bigger in store for you though as he is releasing the Family Guy
movie, the film starring all of the original Family Guy cast in move format.
While fans have loved the re-runs of the flick on Comedy Central, the movie
version promises to pack even more of the fun into the series and will
allegedly be produced by a branch of FOX that will stay true to the original
concept for the show.

While a film starring all of the members of the original plotline is good, don’t
you just love that talking baby Stewie? With the Family Guy Presents Stewie
Griffin: The Untold Story Unrated DVD due out this fall, fans can finally see
what happens when the baby takes a road trip. The plot goes something like
this. Stewie is watching TV one day when he sees a man with the same features
as himself on the TV. Could that be his real father? He sets off on an
incredible cross-country journey that turns out to be quite a trip. Does he
find him though? Between his plans for world domination, Stewie embarks on the
trip of a lifetime.

Even with a slew of new episodes, Family Guy has launched a cult following of
people that enjoy the show and love the baby Stewie. These movies give
McFarlane the opportunity to keep the family going even when the episodes
aren’t around. As the series has progressed and grown into a FOX and now a
Comedy Central favorite, Family Guy continues to reign supreme as one of the
best animated shows on television. Watch out for the Stewie Griffin film as
well as additional Family Guy films coming to the silver screen soon.
