Chris Evans, who portrays Johnny Blaze, loves the attention he gets from common
people because of his super powers, which is quite different from the demeanor
of most superheroes, who try to hide their identities from the public. Johnny
Blaze is playful and outgoing, but still struggles with being taken seriously
sometimes. The Thing (Ben Grimm), portrayed by actor Michael Chiklis, is a sad
character, who can’t seem to get the love he wants because of the way he looks.
Previously, Ben was engaged, and his fiancé leaves him after he begins to
change, and breaks off their engagement in front of hundreds of people.
Ioan Grufford, Mr. Fantastic, is the ‘brains of the operation.’ He is constantly
creating things, and thinking of creating things, which lands his love life in
big trouble. He also has elastic powers, so he can stretch his limbs in amazing
proportions—only when necessary, of course. And then there’s Sue Storm, the
Invisible Girl, played by Jessica Alba. She disappears quite often, much to the
confusion of people around her; not to mention this super power can make dating
a little difficult.
Of course, there’s a villain to every story—enter Victor Von Doom, played by
Julian McMahon. Von Doom is jealous of Reed Richard’s intelligence and
scientific powers—or is it because Reed used to date Sue Storm, the woman Von
Doom wants? Fantastic Four is currently playing in theaters; if you want to
find out more about the film, you can check out online review sites to see if
you’d want to watch it. To get a more accurate view of the story and its
character, you can read the actual comic book to compare stories.
