For Jennifer Lopez, it seems as though her entire career in Hollywood has been
based around rumors and gossip. From her fling with P. Diddy to her movie flop
in Gigli, her career has, at times, taken a backseat to the rumors that have
surrounded much of her music and movies. However, she has persevered and
survived the gossip to salvage a career filled with movie leads and music
albums. It wasn’t always this easy for her but some of the gossip surrounding
her has been just as juicy and fulfilling as her work.

In the late ‘90s and into the early part of the new millennium, many of the
rumors surrounding Jennifer Lopez started to hit the front page of major
celebrity tabloids. Lopez was involved in a celebrity relationship with Sean
“Puff Daddy” Combs that escalated into a full-blown breakup in 2001. During
their relationship, Combs was put on trial for allegedly accompanying one of
his recording artists who shot up a New York nightclub. Lopez stood by her man
for the duration of the court cases, but soon after, her and Combs split up,
presumably because the trial had put such a strain on their relationship. To
this day though, rumors and gossip continue to swirl around the love that Combs
still harbors for Lopez.

Outside of the Lopez/Combs conversation, many other rumors have circled around
Jennifer Lopez’s career. Following her previous breakup, J-Lo and Ben Affleck
were engaged for a short time and gossip attacked their relationship. They
eventually ended as well and Lopez married Marc Anthony, who she remains
married to today. Still, though much of the gossip has died down, Lopez will
always be remembered for her relationships with Combs and Affleck. Though the
gossip mills have moved on, she will always be of great importance to the world
of celebrity tabloids.
