The very idea of owning a movie phone, a cell phone which as the name suggests can play videos amongst its many technological facets, would’ve seemed incredible, like something out of a far distant space age, only a few short years ago. Well we didn’t have to cross into another dimension because movie phones are here right now on earth.

All the usual suspects have bought out their version of a movie phone, so if you’ve already got a favorite brand of cell phone you might as well stick with them as you upgrade. It also goes without saying that the phones are also readily available from the usual outlets.

If you have a fairly modern phone and don’t want to change it just yet but would like some of the amazing range of accessoriries now available to enhance your phone, then hunt around the internet, or your local store because there are literary almost hundreds of accessoriaries for you to buy, many affordable and compatible to most budgets and hardware.

Firstly of course Movie phones is a slightly misleading tag. In reality they are mixed-media phones, but I guess that’s not so catchy!! Not only can you download the obvious, movies, though only trailers and not full length features – yet. But it maybe not be long until you are able to, the first high quality live TV streams to your phone are imminent.

There are also accessoriaries on the market which grants the user access to the internet, music downloads and still photography. Oh yes and there’s also the minor and rather old-fashioned attraction of being able to text and make and receive phone calls – just like the good old days!!

The mega pixels are getting better, certainly as regards to the usage of phones as cameras, most phones are now capable of producing high quality photographs. And they are getting there in regards moving pictures, as each new model is launched the pictures are getting less and less blob like and more like what we are used to on-screen. Whether or not they’ll ever be able to develop high resolution and perfect pictures for viewing on cell phones is debatable, but you certainly wouldn’t bet against technology getting there in the end.
