No one is laughing now, are they? Natasha Lyonne, probably best known by
Generation X for her appearances as Jessica is the first 2 installments of the
American Pie films is no longer getting laughs. Instead, she’s currently housed
in New York City at Beth Israel Hospital’s intensive care unit reportedly
suffering from an addiction to drug, hepatitis C, a heart ailment, and a
collapsed lung. Lyonne, who previously lived in an apartment rented out to her
by actor Michael Rappaport, has made headlines in the New York Post and New
York Daily News for her outrageous actions as of late and for reportedly
leaving Rappaport’s leased apartment a mess when she moved out earlier this
year.

Natasha Lyonne actually started her career in Hollywood with roles in Pee-Wee’s
Playhouse, Dennis the Menace, and eventually the first American Pie movie in
1999. In the early ‘90s, Lyonne lived in Israel for a brief time with her
family, before her parents divorced and she moved back to New York with her
mother and older brother. She caught her big break with the American Pie flick
though, where she co-starred and became a part of pop culture alongside the
likes of Tara Reid.

Life in the limelight of Hollywood has been less than kind for the actress
though, as she has had several run-ins with the police in recent years. Aside
from her 2005 troubles and struggles with drugs, Lyonne was arrested in Miami
Beach in 2001 for driving under the influence of alcohol, careless driving, and
then leaving the scene of an accident after she attempted to drive away after
hitting a traffic sign. She was famously quoted as telling the first officer on
sight, “I’m a movie star. Can I talk to my entertainment lawyer?” Her future
plans in acting are as of yet unknown.
