The upcoming November 22, 2005 release of the new Xbox 360 has many fans waiting
in eager anticipation. Since its introduction in 2001, Xbox has gained a
worldwide fan based that includes hard-core and occasional gamers. Earlier this
year, Microsoft announced the released of a new Xbox gaming system.
Immediately, rumors surrounding the new design began to circulate. However, all
rumors halted after the 2005 Game Show, in which the new console was unveiled.

In October 2001, gamers across the globe were introduced to the Xbox. The
competition at its release was fierce. Sony and Nintendo had both enjoyed
success with their gaming systems. Naturally, Microsoft was concerned as to
whether Xbox would share similar success – and it did. At the time of its
initial release, there were only five available games. Today, the new Xbox 360
will have 25 to 40 available games.

Because of much anticipation, many gamers are concerned about limited supply of
gaming consoles. This concern is reasonably considering that the launch occurs
at the beginning of the holiday shopping season. It is sensible to presume that
the Xbox 360 will be included on countless wish lists. During past releases,
some gaming retail stores sold their initial stock within a few hours. This
leaves procrastinators at a huge disadvantage.

Most people are familiar with the “Every10minutes” contest. Anyone who enters a
promotional code has the opportunity to win a brand new Xbox 360. Moreover, a
new console will be given away every ten minutes. Of course, the chances of
winning a new console are slim, thus most gamers will likely pay full price
(base model $299, bonus model $399). Those determined to be one of the first to
own a console might consider placing one on reserve. Retail stores are
generally reasonable with the reserve fee. In some cases, a new Xbox 360 can be
reserved for as little as $60 per console.
