Every couple of years or so, gaming manufacturers release new gaming systems
that prove more entertaining than the previous. On November 22, 2005, Microsoft
will release the new Xbox 360, which has been termed "one of the most powerful
and entertaining systems." Other release dates for the Xbox 360 include Europe
on December 2, and Japan on December 10.

The upcoming sale of Xbox 360 gaming systems was announced earlier this year.
Immediately, fans of Xbox began speculating possible new designs and features.
All speculation came to a rest when the new Xbox 360 was unveiled at the 2005
Tokyo Game Show. Attendees of the show were given a firsthand preview of the
console. Once the new console was revealed, pics of the game began to circulate
online.

Because the new Xbox 360 will be released at the beginning of the holiday
shopping season, many eager gaming fans are concerned about the availability of
systems. This is a reasonable concern considering most retail stores are
limited in their supplies. Microsoft has already admitted to possible low
quantities of units. Sales are anticipated to reach 1.5 million during the
holiday. In the event of a possible sell out, many fans are reserving Xbox 360.

Base models of the new Xbox 360 begin at $299.99. Ouch! Individuals preferring
bonus accessories such as wireless and high definition capabilities will pay
about $399.99. This price excludes games. Some retail stores, in an attempt to
boost sales, may offer a promotional deal in which each new Xbox 360 includes a
game of choice. Roughly 25 to 40 new games will become available for the new
system. This is a huge contrast considering only five games were available at
the release of the previous Xbox system in 2001.
